How to record front and rear cameras at the same time on iPhone
By Con, founder of Music Wide Selfie · Updated 22 October 2026
Short answerYou need an iPhone whose hardware supports recording two cameras at once and an app that offers it. iPhone 17 models also have Dual Capture built into the Camera app.
Dual camera recording captures what you see and your reaction in one video.
What you need
- An iPhone with hardware that supports multi-camera capture. Not every model does.
- An app that offers it. Check the app's description for supported models.
It is useful for reaction videos, tutorials and travel clips. Expect more heat and battery use during long recordings.
